The FREE event of the year to celebrate all abilities, promote inclusion and offer advice on services for disability!
RISE Expo will return to the Kent Event Centre on Tuesday 12th September 2023
Browse more than 100 exhibition stands, showcasing the latest innovations in disability equipment provision and a wide range of services. Relevant charities will also be on hand to offer free and impartial advice to delegates. Purchase affordable daily living aids and take them home the same day from our new 'Access Your Life' Marketplace.
Whether you are looking for motivational talks from people with lived experience or an opportunity to increase your CPD, there is something for Service Users and Health Professionals alike across our 5 conference theaters and workshops. Covering updated knowledge across Moving and Handling, Occupational Therapy, Children’s Services, Care and Community Health, Ability and Advice & Housing and Adaptations.
Following a restricted two years, we are focused on ways to increase accessibility and mobility. As part of the new Mobility Zone we are working with Driving Mobility/South East Driveability to offer on-site driving assessments. Our exhibition hall will include wheelchair services prescribers to advise on standardised wheelchairs available on the NHS, coupled with the latest mobility equipment for private purchase. Access Your Life will offer advice on obtaining the wheelchair of your choice not prescribed on the NHS through the PWB scheme. Put equipment through its paces on our mobility test track to make sure it is right for you and your needs.
Principal OT at Kent County Council, Jane Miller is pleased to once again be chairing the OT Integration Theatre for 2022. This annual event brings therapists together to showcase their specialist areas of work and explore opportunities for integrating services with health, social care and housing to improve outcomes for clients and services. Featuring educational CPD talks from a wide range of specialist OTs working in Kent. As well as a dedicated conference, networking will take place at the OT Meet and Greet Zone in the Main Hall.
Our Kids Can zone will feature relevant products and services for children of all different ages and abilities. As well as a series of presentations for families, carers and health professionals. Then why not have some fun with have-a-go sports for all abilities. RISE Expo offers an inclusive, fully accessible and informative day for all of the family.
We are working with Driving Mobility to offer delegates the chance to book a free driving assessment on the day of the event. Driving assessments are designed to review your driving and you will be given an honest opinion of your skills and ability. An assessment could help you to investigate vehicle modification options or simply provide confirmation that you are still able to drive safely following a recent diagnosis of a medical condition.
Our event sponsors Ability Plus will be offering a free Mobility Hire service on the day of our RISE Expo event. Both manual wheelchairs and electric scooters will be available for delegates to use. They will be stationed next to the main entrance and clearly signposted. Fill in our form to reserve your mobility aid ahead of the event.
We have packed our event full of useful content but what happens if you don't have time to see everything, or you don't live locally? A full virtual capture of RISE Expo will be made available post-event. Watch recordings of our conference content and visit our interactive exhibition hall. There are even opportunities to attend the event as a telerobot on the day - fill in our telerobotics form to reigster your interest.
