Richard Stanford-Beale is the Research & Development Manager for Kent Fire & Rescue Service (KFRS). He manages a small team responsible for customer insight, research, behaviour change and evaluation. This includes identifying risks associated with accidental fires in homes and developing interventions to reduce those risks. Richard was instrumental in developing ‘Safe and Well Visits’ which KFRS provide to reduce risks often associated with long-term health conditions or behaviours such as hoarding.

Donna oversees a large team who deliver Disabled Facilities Grants and other various grants and loans across 11 local authority areas within Kent. She is also responsible for managing newer services co-developed and commissioned with their private sector housing partners using Better Care Funds inspiring innovation and best practice. These include the Health and Housing Coordinator roles which sit within the Integrated Discharge Teams at 4 of the acute hospitals in Kent and our Home Straight service which works with identified hoarders, supporting them to recognise and deal with their hoarding behaviour.

Amanda is an active member of Kent Energy Efficiency Partnership (KEEP), and was involved in the development of the Kent Fuel Poverty Strategy. Actions from the Strategy are delivered by collaborative working partners, in particular through the Warm Homes Scheme and Local Authority Flexible Eligibility Schemes that access funding for thermal improvements to homes.  She has also been involved with an Award winning External Wall Insulation Project in the District that transformed cold damp system built properties into attractive looking, well insulated, cosy homes. Amanda also leads the Collective Energy Switching Scheme (Energy Deal) for Kent Authorities, the aim of which is to help residents find a better energy tariff. More recently Amanda has been involved in a European funded solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery storage project.

Amos is a Policy and Public Affairs Executive and his main portfolio of work involves developing and advancing the organisation’s policy positions on accessibility and adaptations as well as homelessness in the PRS. In this role Amos engages with sector stakeholders to determine areas of mutual interest that the NLA can bring its expertise to in order to promote the interests of its membership. To date, Amos has led the NLA engagements with organisations such as HabInteg, Abode Impact, Equalities and Human Rights Commission, Nationwide Foundation and Centre for Ageing Better.
